About Lydia

I never thought I’d be a realtor. I grew up on a dairy farm working with my family and going to a small church. I didn’t have much interaction outside of that. That all changed when I started going to a Bible study and met this guy… I know, cheesy right? 

Well my family and I had some differences and I had to learn how to stand up for myself and what I believed in. I moved out of my parents house and had some hard choices to make.

Eric and I started dating. I wanted to try something besides the dairy farm anyway, so I quit and moved a few hours away and got a job at a restaurant. Eric moved down a few months later and started working at a factory. He’s actually the one that helped me get into real estate, because he was not happy with his job. It was repetitive and unfulfilling. He started looking for different options, and when he found a broker to talk to us, we decided we wanted to dive in. We wanted something we could do together and spend time together and work at the same time. Plus, we wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and helping them get the home they wanted seemed a great way to do that!

We bought our first home the summer of 2023, and that made an even greater impact on our “why” behind real estate. What a difference it made in our lives! When we first got married, the only place we could afford was a mobile home in a park. It was tiny and we had basically no yard. We felt little reason to improve the house. We weren’t able to enjoy our time outside because there were so many neighbors so close. It felt stifling and claustrophobic. Now we are able to build wealth for ourselves and make our house our own, without worrying about landlords. We can clean up the yard and plant flowers. We can grow our family when we’re ready to have kids. It truly is a dream come true for us, and all we want is to help other people find their dream come true too!
